Job Description
Accounting Intern Springfield, IL Crawford, Murphy & Tilly (CMT) , named a "Zweig Group's "Best Firms to Work For." is a consulting firm with a team of engineers, planners and other related design professionals is actively seeking to add an Accounting Intern. This internship will be located in our headquarter location and will have hands on experience with real accounting projects, will learn and gain exposure to the billing process, and will provide the opportunity to experience new challenges in a dynamic environment.
Duties & Responsibilities: - Provide support and assistance on various accounting tasks and projects
- Preparing journal entries and supporting the billing process
- Learn multiple functions of corporate accounting and supplement these areas
- Assist in process improvement throughout the accounting department
- Regular communication with employees at all levels of CMT
Position Requirements: - In pursuit of a bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or a related field
- Strong technical skills to include experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational skills: multi-tasking, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines consistently
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a willingness to learn
- Ability to work effectively and cooperate with team members
- Previous office work experience is appreciated, but not required
- Previous internship or co-op experience is appreciated, but not required
