Provides clinical expertise in the delivery of interventions and programs within a Diabetic patient population. Assists the multidisciplinary team in the implementation and evaluation of the plan of care. Provides recommendations to nursing leadership regarding developments in the respective clinical specialty.
EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:
New York State License as a registered Clinical Nurse Specialist
New York State Registered Nurse License
Masters or doctoral degree in nursing as a Clinical Nurse Specialist.
Minimum of five years clinical practice experience, three of which must be in the specialty or a combination of education and specialty experience
Certification in specialty and/or subspecialty required.
