Brentwood Hospital is looking for a dynamic Counselor/Social Worker for a new clinic in Monroe, LA to join our team of professionals who are dedicated to providing help and hope to individuals and families for the achievement of improving their mental health. The Counselor/Social Worker p rovides quality case management and psychotherapeutic services to adult psychiatric patients population (age range approximately 18 and up), adult CD patients population (age range approximately 18 and up), adolescent patient population (age range 13-17), child patient population, (age range approximately 4-11), and their families, spouse, significant other. Serves as a member of interdisciplinary team supporting the organization’s treatment program and philosophy and assure the deliverance of quality treatment of adult psychiatric patients, adult cd patients, adolescent patients, child patients and their families.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Conducts psychosocial assessments to document history and identify preliminary issues for treatment focus by interviewing the patient and their family members.
2. Provides individual process-oriented therapies 
3. Daily progress notes summarized patient’s progress toward treatment goals; Contact with family, significant others, community agencies recorded in progress notes.

• Education / Experience: Master's Degree in social work, counseling or related field. Experience in inpatient or outpatient mental health setting preferred.
• Hours: 8:30 AM -5:00 PM, Monday - Friday
• Licensure: LPC or LCSW license required
• Location:  Counselor should be based in Monroe, LA or surrounding area.
