Job Description

**Job Description: Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer** HYBRID IN OFFICE 4 DAYS A WEEK

Key Responsibilities:

Apply department standards in design and drafting and understand project scope specifications and criteria.

Promptly communicate scope and design changes; provide onsite startup assistance.

Offer technical guidance to junior staff and coordinate with team members and discipline leads.

Act as discipline lead on small to midsized projects producing estimatelevel designs and material takeoffs.

Develop designs calculations and construction sketches for material specs including 15kV/5kV equipment and installation specifications.

Create detailed installation designs and layouts for control panels motor controls lighting grounding and instrumentation plans.

Ensure efficient use of materials and perform quality checks on designs.

Resolve layout and detailing issues collaborate with crossdiscipline design leaders and review vendor drawings.

Perform fieldwork provide construction support and develop construction specs and estimates.

Apply advanced engineering techniques National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and create accurate installation documents.

Lead interoffice execution estimate project hours and manage electrical/instrumentation schedules.

**Qualifications:**

**Education**: Bachelors or Masters in Electrical Engineering.

**Certification**: PE preferred.

**Experience**: 10 years in industrial electrical and instrumentation engineering.

**Technical Skills:**

NEC lighting calculations wire/conduit sizing voltage drop and tray/conduit fill calculations.

Motor control loading equipment specs (MCC VFDs motors) and electrical installation documents.

15kV/5kV system design and calculations for protective ratings.

Construction cost estimating scheduling and control instrumentation specifications.

Knowledge of ISA standards CAD (AutoCAD/Microstation) and Microsoft Office.

**Soft Skills:**

Strong communication presentation and virtual team management skills.

**Other Skills**:

Crossdivisional leadership and ability to execute projects within scope schedule and budget.
