We are currently looking to add a Research & Development Laboratory Technician to our team in St. Cloud, MN. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the R&D department and functional teams with general laboratory maintenance tasks, scheduling and coordination of equipment and instrument maintenance, and availability of laboratory supplies. Performs daily, weekly, and monthly tasks while also assisting other departments. What can I expect in this role? In this position, you will work Monday-Friday regular daytime business hours. Some key duties in this role include: Product Related Laboratory Testing: Assist in project-related production and testing activities. Accurately documenting test results Microbial growth, diluting, plating, and enumeration of bacterial samples Product performance on sample-to-answer platforms Packaging and labeling of prototype products Inventory Management: Maintain supplies inventory by ordering, receiving and organizing reagents, media and other required items Material Orders and Inspection: Coordinates supplies requisitions. Responsible for receiving and inspecting purchased and prepared materials (raw materials, media, components, etc.) for quality and compliance. Ensures identification and traceability of supplies. Equipment Maintenance: Coordinating scheduled preventative maintenance, and routine verification of lab equipment and pipettes. General Laboratory Responsibilities: General cleaning and environmental monitoring, autoclaving, preparing reagents, and other labware-related tasks. What makes you a good fit? Ability to write short correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment. Math Ability Basic ability to add and subtract. Demonstrate good judgment and decision-making skills. Computer Skills Basic understanding of internet programs and the Microsoft Office programs including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook.
