Job Description

Primary Objective:

Operates various powered industrial trucks to pick up customer orders and convey orders to packing stations or shipping areas.

Shift :

• 2nd: M-F, 2:30 pm-11:00 pm

Equipment Knowledge:

• Sit-Down Forklift
• Stand-Up/Reach Forklift
• Order Picker/Cherry Picker Forklift

Responsibilities:

Picking

• Operate powered industrial truck(s) to assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets.
• Keys order into the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
• Verifies stock availability and audits orders for accuracy
• Conveys picked orders to packing stations or shipping areas

Receiving

• Operates various powered industrial trucks to receive products into the warehouse and prepare for stocking
• Opens crates and inspects product
• Applies labels to products according to establishing procedures
• Verifies shading of product and places into an accurate warehouse location

Put-away:

• Utilizes powered industrial equipment to move products into pre-designated areas within the warehouse once received
• Keys location of product into the inventory control system and places product onto shelves
• Ensures product is placed into accurate location

General:

• Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to the supervisor
• Follows standard operating and safety procedures
• Keeps area safe, clean, and organized
• Performs other related duties as required

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 or more years of previous distribution/warehouse experience. Must have a minimum of six months to 1 year of sit-down forklift. Reach truck and OP experience.
• Good oral and written communication skills. Good record-keeping skills. Good listening skills. Accurate measurement capability. Ability to understand and speak English. 
• Ability to work in a safe conscientious manner. 
• Must be Dal-Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks.
