Job Description and Duties

Under the general direction of the Supervising Psychiatric Social Worker II, the Supervising Psychiatric Social Worker I (SPSW I) will serve as both the Statewide Mental Health Program (SMHP) and mental health care subject matter expert (SME) regarding the development, implementation, and maintenance of the California Advancing and Innovating Medi-Cal (CalAIM) Justice-Involved Initiative. The SPSW I will be responsible for developing, training, monitoring, and maintaining the mental health billing and claiming tasks related to the CalAIM project and will ensure related mental health policies and procedures are met. Statewide travel is required.

This position is located in the Mental Health Program.  The program’s mission is to provide ethical, professional, and effective mental health care services for patients within all 35 of California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation’s institutions statewide.
