Job Title: E&I Technician (Electrical & Instrumentation) Client Industry: Oil & Gas Location: Madison, WI & Arlington Heights, IL Type of Position: Full-time | Direct-hire Environment: Onsite About the Job: We are looking for E&I Technician to support automation systems, PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), and low voltage electrical/electronic systems, particularly in a truck loading system. The ideal candidate will maintain electrical/electronic equipment in assigned area.
Key Responsibilities: - Provide technical support to terminal sites to ensure safe and efficient operation of truck loading, pipeline, and tank farm systems. This includes providing support for other areas when covering for colleagues on leave.
- Support electrical and automation projects, primarily within the assigned area but may also extend to other regions as needed.
- Maintain and repair electrical/electronic equipment at assigned terminals.
- Handle administrative duties such as maintaining time sheets, submitting expense reports, and ensuring bills are paid promptly.
Must-Have: - High School Diploma plus 2 years of relevant work experience, or an Associate’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Technology, Instrumentation Technology, or a related field (no experience required).
- Proficient in electrical and instrumentation troubleshooting and familiar with the National Electrical Code.
Nice-to-Have: - Solid understanding of PLC systems, automation and industrial instrumentation.
- Knowledge of ARC Flash Hazard Recognition and related safety protocols.
