Electrical Estimator

Location: Greer, SC
Salary: $65k-85k first year base + Benefits

In business for over a century, we are proud to be industry leaders in Electrical and Electronic engineering projects nationwide. Due to the success of our security tech, wiring and systems solutions we are searching for an experienced Electrical Estimator in the Greer SC area.

Position Overview
The Electrical Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for electrical projects, working closely with project managers, suppliers, and clients to ensure proposals are competitive and meet project requirements. This role requires strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail to analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documents.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical projects based on project specifications and requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive proposals.
• Source and evaluate suppliers for materials and subcontracting needs.
• Conduct bid analysis to ensure competitive pricing and profitability.
• Review and analyze project plans and specifications to identify key requirements and potential challenges.
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, proposals, and project documentation.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve favorable terms.
• Monitor project costs and assist in budget analysis and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide support in project management activities as needed, including project plans and client relations.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma required, related Associates or Bachelors degree preferred.
• 2+ years experience in electrical construction space
• Proven experience as an estimator in the electrical, engineering or construction industries.
• Knowledge of electrical systems/electronic products, regulations, and best practices.
• Ability to travel domestically as needed (mostly 1 day trips within the region)
• Excellent analytical and data analysis skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills to liaise with clients and suppliers, proposal demonstration experience
• Familiarity with IT, telecom, building automation, security systems preferred
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
